There's a really cool battle scene in beginning of this book, and the gang also decides to take on dedicated battle training. After the things that happened in the previous book, it's decided that Sophie doesn't just need one extra bodyguard, but five, basically one from every species they've encountered Relationships are deepened and tested. His parents take him back in, but Fitz in particular doesn't trust him at all. Sophie and the gang are confronted with an enemy that is claiming to have lost all his memories. Or, the next two books need to be filled to the brim with reveals. There are only two more parts coming, and I hate to say this but I feel like the author may have written herself into a corner. Mostly I wanted more progression in the overall storyline. Ok, this is my least favorite book in the series so far, and it is just, I think, because I wanted more from it.
